My sweet girl got her ears pierced! We originally were going to wait until she was 10 but gave in and did it for her 8th birthday! When we told her she could get it done--she quickly became hesitant and said, "Today....". ha!
Of course "Pink Puppy" came along for moral support!
We visited Enchanted Rock while on our Spring Break Trip. It was probably our girls favorite activity! They loved having the freedom to run, climb, and explore! You can see in the picture above, the "rock". (left side, above sign). If you look really closely you can see all the teeny tiny little people at the top!
Click on the picture below! See the road WAAAAAY down there! It was quite a little hike we did! Both our girls were champs. Surprisingly our 3 1/2 year old climbed and climbed her little heart out! Never uttering a cry or complaint! She loved it!
Felicity went on our Spring Break trip with us. When she heard we were going to a Pioneer Museum and to pick strawberries at an orchard she hopped right in the car!!
At the museum, there was an old school house that the earlier pioneer school children attended! Felicity, herself, is from the Revolutionary time period...so it was a treat for her to look into "the future." :)
After school she went home to fix some supper.
Ring the dinner bell...
And then went back outside to play...
I wonder what the blacksmith are doing?
Then she remembered her friend in town had a fancy new upright piano.
She had such a busy day exploring she decided to sleep in one of the pioneer beds!
(I know, kind of creepy...I just took pictures of what my 8 year old told me take)
The next morning she took a buggy ride to the orchard to pick strawberries!
Oh! and she had to put on her pretty yellow dress and bonnet!
What a fun adventure Felicity had!
(If only I had remembered to take her to Luckenbach, TX.......to have a beer).
This past weekend we headed down to The Hill Country! My daughter is in The Young Texan Club at school. They only meet 5 times a year and then take a weekend trip. She LIVES for these meetings! This years trip was to LBJ Ranch and Dixie Dude Ranch in Bandera, TX. With this being her first year in the club she was super excited!
Nothing to complain about...it was all in all a good year!
I love my husband and my girls. We love God.
Our family did endure a bump in the "road of life" around Thanksgiving....but I guess new paths will be paved. We will see. This life makes no promises...I have found that out indeed. The situation still saddens me...maddens me...but I am optimistic because that is the only approach.
I have a little secret.....I am 35 years old and have never really been introduced to The Nutcracker. Yeah--I've seen it on tv over the years but up until this year....I have a new obsession.....I LOVE NUTCRACKERS! I want to collect 1 BILLION TRILLION nutcrackers! Ok-not that much.
